Putty-Pac Valve Packing

The perfect companion product to any stuffing box, big or small, new or worn. When applied, Putty-Pac takes action and does the following:

  • Reduces pitting and corrosion over time.
  • Prevents packing seizures to stems.
  • Works continuously, and only needs replacing when your valve is rebuilt or replaced.

Putty-Pac is easy to install and maintain. Simply remove all old packing and clean out the stuffing box. Fill the stuffing box full with Putty-Pac and completely tighten gland. Remove gland and top off stuffing box with more Putty-Pac. Re-tighten gland until tight. The final adjustment of the packing gland should prevent all leakage, but still allow movement of the stem.

Putty-Pac can be used in a service temperature range of up to 450° F and a PH range of between 2 and 11.


Putty-Pac is sold by the can (pint size). Rains-Flo Part #PP0F31 (5/16" or less packing size); Rains-Flo Part #PP0F50 (3/8" – 1/2" packing size).
