Rains-Flo’s Sealing Systems have self-contained lubrication and are highly heat conductive, unlike all conventional braided packing.

In applications where water is being injected into the stuffing box to cool and lubricate braided packing, we are able to discontinue the use of this type of flush.

By discontinuing the flush, you can gain two additional rings of sealing because the lantern rings are no longer required. Also, stuffing box pressure will be reduced because water taken from the discharge volute will not be injected into the middle of the stuffing box. With Rains-Flo's design, you will be just sealing against stuffing box pressure, allowing you to experience excellent sealing performance. This translates into increased packing and shaft/sleeve life, reducing maintenance time and cost.
